Help Shape NCFA UK Events
The NCFA UK Vice President of Events leads the planning and delivery of events across the National Cyber & Forensics Alliance UK Chapter.
This is an opportunity to organise conferences, workshops, webinars, competitions and networking events while gaining valuable leadership and project management experience as part of the NCFA UK Chapter Leadership Team.
About the Role
The Vice President of Events leads the planning and coordination of events across the UK chapter, ensuring activities are delivered successfully and provide value to members and partners.
Working closely with the President, other Vice Presidents, Senior Regional Ambassadors and Ambassadors, you will coordinate event delivery, manage timelines and help turn ideas into successful activities.
This is not a title-only position.
You are not expected to organise every detail yourself. Instead, your role is to coordinate volunteers, delegate responsibilities appropriately, monitor progress and ensure events are delivered to a high standard.
This role requires regular involvement throughout the elected term, with increased commitment during the planning and delivery of major events.

Applications are open to current students and alumni who are NCFA members and are able to commit consistently throughout the full elected term.
Applicants with previous experience as an:
- NCFA Ambassador
- Events Ambassador
- Talks Ambassador
are encouraged to apply.
Equivalent experience organising university society events, community initiatives or professional events will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
As NCFA UK Vice President of Events you will:
- Develop and maintain the NCFA UK events calendar.
- Turn event ideas into clear and realistic delivery plans.
- Coordinate Ambassadors and volunteers supporting each event.
- Assign responsibilities and follow up on agreed actions.
- Organise conferences, workshops, webinars, competitions and networking activities.
- Communicate with speakers, university societies, venues and external organisations.
- Work with the Vice President of Social Media to promote events effectively.
- Work with the Vice President of Wellbeing and Safeguarding to support safe and accessible events.
- Produce schedules, briefings and supporting information for event teams.
- Monitor registrations and engagement where appropriate.
- Support the delivery of live events.
- Gather feedback and identify improvements for future activities.
- Provide regular progress updates to the President and wider leadership team.

Desirable Experience
The following experience is advantageous but not essential:
- Previous experience organising events or projects.
- Experience within the NCFA Events or Talks pathways.
- Experience working within a university society.
- Confidence communicating with speakers or external organisations.
- Experience using registration, ticketing or project management platforms.
- Awareness of event accessibility and risk management.
- Experience supporting cyber security workshops, CTFs or conferences.
