The NCFA UK Vice President of Wellbeing & Safeguarding leads wellbeing and safeguarding activity across the National Cyber & Forensics Alliance UK Chapter.

This is an opportunity to help build a safe, inclusive and supportive community while gaining valuable leadership and organisational experience as part of the NCFA UK Chapter Leadership Team.

About the Role

The Vice President of Wellbeing & Safeguarding leads the chapter’s wellbeing and safeguarding activity, helping to ensure that members, volunteers and staff feel supported and that concerns are handled appropriately.

Working closely with the President, other Vice Presidents, Senior Regional Ambassadors and Ambassadors, you will coordinate Wellbeing Ambassadors, promote an inclusive culture and help ensure that safeguarding concerns are managed through the appropriate processes.

This is not a title-only position.

You are not expected to act as a counsellor, medical professional or investigator. Instead, your role is to listen without judgement, maintain appropriate boundaries, record concerns where required and direct individuals towards suitable support while following NCFA procedures.

This role requires maturity, professionalism and discretion. While the weekly workload may vary, you must remain available and responsive when concerns are raised.

Equivalent experience gained through university societies, volunteer organisations or professional environments will also be considered.

Relevant training may be provided or required as part of the role.

Key Responsibilities

As NCFA UK Vice President of Wellbeing & Safeguarding you will:

Lead wellbeing and safeguarding activity within the NCFA UK Chapter.
Coordinate and support Wellbeing Ambassadors.
Act as an identified point of contact for concerns.
Listen to members and staff without judgement.
Maintain appropriate confidentiality and professional boundaries.
Escalate safeguarding concerns through the correct route.
Signpost people towards appropriate university, community or emergency support.
Help develop clear guidance for reporting concerns.
Promote a respectful and inclusive organisational culture.
Work with the Vice President of Events to support welfare and accessibility at events.
Advise the leadership team on wellbeing, conduct and safeguarding risks.
Support campaigns relating to wellbeing, inclusion and responsible conduct.
Challenge inappropriate behaviour professionally.
Maintain appropriate records where necessary.
Provide regular updates to the President while respecting confidentiality.

Desirable Experience

The following experience is advantageous but not essential:

Experience in wellbeing, welfare, safeguarding or pastoral support.
Experience within the NCFA Wellbeing pathway.
Safeguarding or mental health awareness training.
Experience supporting students or young adults.
Understanding of university welfare and reporting systems.
Experience producing wellbeing guidance or policies.
Awareness of accessibility and inclusion requirements.
